She raps
Project description
She Raps is the first international incubator for the emergence and professionalization of female rappers, supported by the European Union's Creative Europe program. Launched by the French agency Rafe productions the project brings together female rappers from various European countries. The project began as a collaboration among partners from four countries (France, Belgium, Portugal, and Croatia), with Blackout Hip Hop serving as the local partner for the Balkan region.
She Raps includes workshops, performances, and collaborations, offering girls from Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and other countries practical learning about hip-hop culture, the music industry, digital platforms, and recording. With mentorship from experts such as producers, rappers, and graffiti artists, participants develop their skills and create collaborative songs.
The aim of the project is to create a platform for collaboration among female rappers, enabling them to perform across Europe, work with renowned producers, and create new music projects. The finalists of the program will have the opportunity to continue their development through additional workshops and performances, with the project culminating in a joint recording of songs and videos in Zagreb.
